1935 was a difficult year for french vineyards, with very particular weather conditions, producing very few successful wines.
In Bordeaux, the red wines produced were quickly forgotten. They are light and lack in body and character.
With a rainy harvest, the Sauternes wines are decent though a bit light with little to no bouquet.
In Bourgogne, the 1935 vintage was very good for white wines. They are high quality and harmonious as well as syrupy, soft, fruity and very appreciable. The red wines are lower in quality but still quite nice.
This vintage is very similar to its predecessor : 1934.
Enjoy a unique tasting with a 1935 bottle. Here is our selection from this vintage : Château Filhot, Château la Tour Blanche and Château d' Yquem.
