In 1928, the weather conditions were quite nice, the heat of the sun and the softness of the sparse rainfalls promoted an early and fruitful harvest. Producing a majestic, well-balanced wine with a nice natural alcohol level, especially in Bourgogne.

 

Champagne produced some exceptional bottles thanks to a very generous harvest.

 

In Bordeaux, the vines produced excellent grapes which produced delicious, quality wines, with a tannic and silky finish. The 1928 Bordeaux wines age very nicely with perfect alcohol and acidity levels. Same goes for Vallée du Rhône wines.

 

The most prestigious bottles from 1928 are the Margaux, Palmer and Lynch-Bages. With a special mention for Haut-Brion, which produced an exceptional, full-bodied merlot.
