One of the most prestigious and sought-after estates, Château Latour is one of the jewels of the French viticultural landscape.
Born in 1718, when the marquis Nicolas-Alexandre de Segur planted the first vineyard, it is now owned by the famous businessman and wine lover François Pinault.
1st Grand Cru Classé in 1855, Château Latour has an exceptional terroir of 80 hectares, 47 of which are located around the castle and is called L'Enclos. This plot is the only one to enter the composition of the great wine.
This Grand Cru Classé is mainly composed of Cabernet Sauvignon, supplemented with Merlot, as well as a small proportion of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot depending on the vintage.
Château Latour, as well as the second wine produced Les Forts De Latour, have a significant aging potential, sometimes more than 50 years for the first wine in the greatest years.
