Château Dauzac is a prestigious domaine producing great Margaux wines. The produced red wines, ranked as Fifth Growth in 1855, are composed of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet franc and Merlot. The 40-ha vineyard is based on a deep gravel soil, favorable to the production of high-quality wines. The estate owes its reputation to Count Thomas Michel Lynch, responsible for its prestigious title of Fifth Growth. Château Dauzac was acquired by La Maif in 1989 and managed from then by André Lurton. It is currently owned by his daughter Christine Lurton-de-Caix.
