Château Kirwan is a prestigious domaine producing great Margaux wines. It is named after Mark Kirwan, irish owner in the 18th century who brought together Domaine Lassale and Ganet in order to create the current vineyard. Its red wines are currently produced by Jacques Boissenot and ranked as Third Growth in 1855, composed of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 15% Cabernet franc and 10% Petit Verdot. Aside from these high-quality wines, the domaine also produces second wines, the Charmes de Kirwan, produced from younger vines.
