Château Léoville-Barton

Château Léoville-Barton is one of the most appreciated Bordeaux Grands Crus. Its vines are located behind the Saint-Julien-Beychevelle village. Before Hugh Barton acquired part of the vineyard in 1826, becoming Léoville-Barton, the 3 Léoville (Barton, Las-Cases and Poyferré) belonged to the same estate. This exceptional wine stands out from other traditional Saint-Julien wines thanks to its large proportion of Cabernet-sauvignon and small amount of Merlot.

Anthony Barton, great grand son of Hugh Barton, improved its quality further in 1985 while still preserving its traditional essence which makes it one of the best Saint-Julien wines
