Mythical appellation, surrounded by Nuits-Saint-Georges to the south, Chambolle-Musigny and Vougeot to the north, producing 8 grands crus including the prestigious and world-famous Romanée-Conti, owned as a monopoly with La Tâche by the domaine of the same name. Even though they are small in size, the Romanée, Grande Rue, Richebourg, Romanée-Saint-Vivant, Echezeaux and Grands Echezeaux grands crus are regularly shared by several owners. They are the most expensive Bourgogne wines, mainly because of the Romanée-Conti wines and their very high prices. First growths such as Malconsorts, Suchots, Chaumes, Aux Brulés and Beaux Monts are worth just as much as grands crus, especially on certain vintages. Exceptional ageing potential, long-keeping wines.

Main grape varieties : Pinot noir.

Soils : Limestone soils with clay marls.

Style of wines :

Every Vosne-Romanée wine is a great Bourgogne wine with well-structured tannins, rich wines combining power and finesse. With age, they develop their tertiary bouquet with aromas of spices, leather, undergrowth and violette.
