Grands vins - Pommard

In the shape of a wide ribbon, bordered by Volnay in the south and Beaune in the north, producing delightful and quality red wines exclusively. The first growths (27 climates) are almost all located around the Pommard village, Epenots and Rugiens are generally considered as the best of them.

Main grape varieties : Pinot noir.

Soils : Clay-limestone with alluvium rock and gravel debris

Style of wines :

Intense color. Intense aromas of fruits (blackcurrant, currant, cherry), evolving into animal aromas of undergrowth, leather and chocolate with age.
