Grands vins - Fixin

Located north of Côte de Nuits, producing great red wines similar to Gevrey-Chambertin wines, the Fixin appellation is still somewhat unknown by wine lovers. It includes a few first growths such as : Les Hervelets, La Perrière, Le Clos du Chapitre, Le Clos Napoléon.

Main grape varieties : Pinot noir.

Soils : Limestone and marl.

Style of wines :

Intense color for these excellent, powerful and delicate wines with a good tannic structure. Nose with aromas of violette, blackcurrant and cherry, evolving into animal notes of spices with age.
