The 1988 Château Pichon Longueville Baron « Les Tourelles de Longueville » is a Bordeaux red wine from the Pauillac appellation. Historic domaine with 73 ha of vines located close to the famous First Growth Château Latour, this Second Growth Bordeaux was born from the splitting of Château Pichon Longueville in 1850, giving birth to Château Pichon Longueville Baron and Pichon Comtesse. Composed of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot and 3% Cabernet franc, Château Pichon Longueville's second wine is named Les Tourelles de Longueville as a tribute to the beautiful towers of the castle and is produced mostly from young Merlot vines. Long-ageing wine, the 1988 Les Tourelles de Longueville will delight lovers of matured Bordeaux and make a unique and original wine-themed gift.
