The 1972 Château Carbonnieux is a Bordeaux red wine under Pessac Léognan appellation and a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 7% Cabernet franc and 3% Petit Verdot. Château Carbonnieux is one of the oldest castles in the Bordeaux region and has a 92 ha vineyard spread out around its property since the 13th century. On these 92 ha, 50 are devoted to red grape varieties. Converted to a sustainable and responsible agriculture, this Grand Cru only improves with time. Great vintaged wine, the 1972 Château Carbonnieux is an ancient wine which will delight lovers of old Bordeaux and make an original wine-themed gift.
