The 1994 Clos de Tart is a Bourgogne red wine produced in Côte de Nuits. Clos de Tart is made up of a 7.53 ha vineyard located in Morey-Saint-Denis in Côte de Nuits. Grand Cru, Clos de Tart is the biggest Bourgogne wine monopoly. Among the oldest Bourgogne properties, Clos de Tart has had only 3 owners since the mid 12th century : Les Moniales Bernardines, then Les Marey Monge (a member of which accompanied Napoléon to Egypt) and now the famous Momessin family, originally from Maconnais. In 1995, Sylvain Pitiot, well-known for his Bourgogne cartography, became the manager of this renowned domaine and has given it a new momentum. Matured wine, the 1994 Clos de Tart is a rare bottle from a prestigious domaine, a confidential vintage which will give you a peak into these mythical Bourgogne wines.
