Prestigious appellation from the southwest, Armagnac is the oldest marketed wine eau-de-vie in France. It was first sold in the 16th century as « medecine » for its health benefits on the human body. The Armagnac region is now split into 3 areas : Bas-Armagnac, Ténarèze and Haut-Armagnac.
