The 1965 Savigny-Les-Beaune from Maison Leroy is a red Bourgogne wine produced in Côte de Beaune.
Founded in 1868 by François Leroy, wine-maker in Auxey Duress, from the repurchase of part of the famous Domaine de la Romanée Conti by Henri Leroy in 1942 to the creation of the Domaine Leroy by his daughter Lalou Bize Leroy with the help of Takashimaya (wine dealer in Japan), following the repurchase of Domaine Charles Noellat and Domaine Philippe Rémy. Today, the Leroy family are part of the Bougogne myths and Maison Leroy is considered as the most prestigious of the region. La Romanée Conti wines, with the Henri Jayer wines, are among the most expensive wines in the world, and the wines from Domaine Leroy are some of the most sought-after. To taste a Leroy wine is to taste the best in the wine-making world.
Great vintaged wine, the 1965 Savigny-Les-Beaune from Domaine Leroy is a rare bottle, a fine Bourgogne and a collection bottle perfect to taste or offer.
