The 1978 Château Léoville Poyferre is a Bordeaux red wine from the Saint-Julien appellation.
This fine vintaged wine is a blend of 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 8% Petit Verdot and 4% Cabernet franc. Most important historic property in Médoc, it was divided through the years, giving birth to several well-known castles including Château Léoville Barton and Château Léoville Las Cases. Leader of the Saint-Julien red wines and property of the Cuvelier family, Château Léoville Poyferré keeps improving its wine with the help of famous oenologist Michel Rolland.
This Second Growth 1978 Château Léoville Poyferré is a matured wine and the perfect bottle for any knowledgeable wine lover or collector.
