The 1988 Clos L’Abeilley is a Bordeaux syrupy white wine produced at Château de Rayne Vigneau.
Founded in the 17th century by Gabriel de Vigneau, this First Growth Sauternes spreads over a 62-ha vineyard ideal for producing great wines. Château de Rayne Vigneau was considered for a long time as Château d'Yquem's rival, known for producing exceptionally long ageing wines.
Produced mainly from Sémillon with added Sauvignon, Château de Rayne Vigneau's syrupy wines are highly sought-after by lovers of rare and ancient syrupy wines, especially from great vintages like this bottle from 1988.
