The 1971 Château Léoville Poyferre is a Bordeaux red wine from the Saint-Julien appellation.
This fine vintaged wine is a blend of 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 8% Petit Verdot and 4% Cabernet franc. Most important historic property in Médoc, it was divided through the years, giving birth to several well-known castles including Château Léoville Barton and Château Léoville Las Cases. Leader of the Saint-Julien red wines and property of the Cuvelier family, Château Léoville Poyferré keeps improving its wine with the help of famous oenologist Michel Rolland.
