The 1996 Château d'Arlay is a Jura wine from the « Vin Jaune » appellation, it is produced from savagnin.
Family domaine for over 1000 years, Château d'Arlay is famous for being the oldest winemaking Château in France. A reference among great french wines, it is considered by rare wine lovers as a Jura « Grand Cru », spread over 25 ha of vines composed of pinot noir, trousseau and Poulsard for red wines, as well as chardonnay and savagnin for white wines. Château d'Arlay's Vin Jaune is the flagship of this region's great wines, aged in oak barrels for 7 years, developing powerful flavors of nuts, mushrooms, toasted bread... a very high aromatic complexity !
Long-keeping wine, the 1996 Château d'Arlay will delight Vin Jaune lovers and make an excellent wine-themed gift.
Rare wine. Renowned domaine. Exceptional vintage.
