The 1983 first growth Pommard-Rugiens magnum from Domaine de Montille is a red Bourgogne wine produced in Côte de Beaune from pinot noir.
Located in Volnay, Bourgogne, Domaine de Montille is a pre-French Revolution historic domaine. Originally spread over 12 ha of vines, Domaine de Montille became a 3-ha confidential domaine after giving up quite a few vines. Taken over by Hubert de Montille in 1947, this highly prized producer of great Bourgogne wines slowly became a major player and now owns 37 ha of vines spread over the best Bourgogne climates, producing high-quality wines.
Rare wine, the 1983 first growth Pommard-Rugiens magnum from Domaine de Montille is a powerful and fine wine with great aromatic complexity and depth... A very fine bottle for lovers and collectors of exceptional wines.
