The 1948 Beaune-Grèves from La Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin, from Maison Chanson Père & Fils, is a red wine from Côte de Nuits in Bourgogne produced from Pinot Noir exclusively.
Among the oldest Bourgogne wineries, Maison Chanson was founded in 1750. It spreads over an exceptional 45-ha vineyard where you can find Beaune Clos des fèves or First Growth Pernand Vergelesse « Les vergelesses ».
Acquired by the prestigious Maison de Champagne Bollinger in 1999 with Gilles de Courcel in charge, its production quality keeps improving thanks to the help of wine-producer Jean-Pierre Confuron from Domaine Confuron.
Created in 1934, the « Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin » is the Bourgogne ambassador of its dishes but most importantly its wines. Showcasing quality products above all else, they introduced « tastevinage » in 1950, a pointer for customers to easily recognize a selected bottle with quality terroir and vintage.
Great vintaged wine, the 1948 Beaune-Grèves, selected by the « Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin » is a rare wine for lovers and collectors of ancient Bourgogne wines, and will make a great anniversary wine.
