The 1971 Santenay from the Maison Pierre Fontaine is a Bourgogne red wine under Santenay appellation. This fine wine is composed only of Pinot Noir. The Santenay appellation has a total of 378 ha of vines in the south of Beaune, with 12 First Growth wines out of 124 of those hectares, including the famous Beauregard and Clos des Mouches. The Santenay AOC produces long-ageing wines which are often compared to renowned wines like Volnay and Pommard. The 1971 Santenay from Maison Pierre Fontaine is an original gift to celebrate a birthday.
