The 1985 Château Castera is a Bordeaux red wine from the Médoc appellation. Domaine with a prestigious past, Château Castera has been owned by Thomas de Montaigne (brother of the famous philosopher) and La Boétie, french writer and poet. It spreads over 63 ha of vines composed mostly of Merlot with added Cabernet franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. Château Castera produces great wines from 50 year-old vines, pride of the Press family, its current owner since 1986. Vintaged wine, the 1985 Château Castera will please lovers of old Bordeaux and make a unique and original wine-themed gift.
