After a disappointing 1944 vintage, 1945 took over and produced very good wines, both quantitatively and qualitatively.

The 1945 vintage was particularly successful and produced exceptional and extremely powerful wines with fantastic ageing potentials.

 

The mild weather conditions helped produce this perfect vintage.

In Bordeaux, the red wines are rich, tannic and ready to spend many years ageing while keeping their exceptional taste : Château Margaux, Mouton Rothschild, Léoville Las Cases and Lafite Rothschild are legendary wines.

 

Bourgogne also produced exeptional 1945 bottles. Dry, firm and solid wines with a beautiful color. With a fantastic ageing potential, the best ones remain perfect.

 

Vallée du Rhône produced a rich and powerful 1945 vintage with a fine finish and complex bouquet whereas Champagne produced elegant, firm champagnes with great ageing potentials though a bit tough at first.
