The 1978 Vieux Château Bourgneuf is a Bordeaux red wine from the prestigious Pomerol appellation.
Now vanished from the Bordeaux viticultural landscape, Vieux Château Bourgneuf used to be well-known for the excellent value for money of its great wines, as well as its exceptional terroir.
Purchased in 2006 by Clément Fayat and Jean Luc Thunevin, owners of the highly sought-after Château Valandreau, Vieux Château Bourgneuf's Pomerol wines were produced for 3 years under the name of Domaine Fayat-Thunevin, before the vineyard was split between the 2 owners.
Ancient wine, the 1978 Vieux Château Bourgneuf is a rare wine for lovers and collectors of Bordeaux wine.
